Job Profile

  • Responsibility for the melting shop, core shop, metalworking shop, fettling shop with dispatch and two moulding lines in technical, personnel and organisational terms
  • Motivation, coaching and development of employees (m/f/d) according to the principles of effective leadership
  • Optimising production processes in terms of quality, deadlines and costs
  • Increasing the process reliability and productivity of operations while taking qualitative and economic aspects into account
  • Introduction of new production technologies and further development of the foundry
  • Solving technical foundry problems
  • Initiating and coordinating investment and repair work in the assigned areas
  • Advising and supporting the management in the planning and realisation of investments
  • Contact person for customers and suppliers

Candidate Profile

  • Degree in engineering, preferably specialising in foundry technology or equivalent knowledge and skills
  • Alternatively, completed training as a foundry mechanic with further training as a master craftsman or technician
  • Several years of professional experience with production responsibility in the foundry sector, preferably in iron casting
  • Experience in the management and control of employees (m/f/d) is an advantage
  • Expertise in metallurgy and knowledge of materials in iron casting desirable
  • Familiarity with modern production processes, process technologies, management methods and overall cost optimisation
  • Knowledge of current safety precautions and accident prevention regulations
  • Expertise in strategic and business process-oriented corporate management and investment planning
  • Fluency in German
  • Knowledge of English an advantage
