The core business is the development, production and distribution of sophisticated, drive-independent products for the automotive industry.

Main tasks

  • Worldwide support for production location in the design and optimization of casting processes and production sequences
  • Active production support for new product start-ups and the implementation of optimizing measures
  • Planning, implementation and evaluation of casting tests to optimize and further development of the casting process
  • Competent support for decision-making processes in process-relevant areas, e.g. infrastructure, maintenance, investments, etc.
  • Collaboration in process development globally/locally through professional support
  • Regular exchange of process-relevant information and reports within the group as a member of the casting and competence team
  • Project management or project member for process development or innovation topics
  • Transfer of know-how by conducting technical employee training and courses

Candidate profile

  • Degree in engineering studies in the field of Casting Technology, Process Engineering or Mechanical engineering / Respectively equivalent knowledge and skills
  • Relevant professional experience in process engineering in aluminium casting (die casting or low-pressure or gravity die casting)
  • Good knowledge of casting technology, metallurgy, materials science and simulation software
  • Know-how in the field of tool design and tool cooling
  • Experience with thermal simulations, preferably with casting simulations using MAGMA software
  • Experience regarding to the design and optimization of complex systems and manufacturing processes
  • Expertise in lean production, continuous improvement, shopfloor and change management
  • Familiarity with the regulations of the automotive supply industry
  • Intercultural competence with practical experience in internationally operating corporate groups
  • Fluent English, further foreign language an advantage
  • High flexibility and willingness to travel nationally and internationally (40 % to 60 %)
