Our client is part of an internationally active group of companies and one of the leading manufacturers of cast parts in the automotive industry and other sectors. The development and production comprises highly stressable cast parts at the highest technological and innovative standard based on proven know-how in the casting processes and materials relevant for series production.

Main tasks

  • Development of standard processes to optimize casting processes and production sequences together with the production sites
  • Identification and implementation of continuous improvement potential (quality, efficiency and productivity)
  • Responsible for compliance, including employee training and documentation of the developed standard processes
  • Identification, development, implementation and realization of best-practice processes at the production sites
  • Responsible for carrying out market and competitive analyses, taking into account current external benchmarking data
  • Troubleshooting incl. sustainable troubleshooting and technical support
  • Leading, motivating and developing employees (m/f/d) according to the principles of effective leadership

Candidate profile

  • Completed degree in engineering, preferably specializing in foundry or materials technology or comparable knowledge and skills
  • Alternatively, completed technical vocational training, preferably as a foundry mechanic with further training as a master craftsman or technician
  • Relevant professional experience in production-related functions in aluminum and/or magnesium die casting with a focus on the automotive industry
  • Sound knowledge of casting technology, metallurgy, materials science, simulation software, toolmaking and component optimization
  • Experience in the design and optimization of complex systems and production processes
  • Expertise in lean production, continuous improvement, store floor and change management
  • Know-how in project management
  • Familiarity with the regulations of the automotive supply industry
  • Intercultural competence with practical experience in internationally operating corporate groups
  • Experience in leading and managing employees (m/f/d)
  • Good English skills
