Job profile
- Management and implementation of projects to increase efficiency in the casting processes and related production steps
- Analysis and elimination of quality problems by identifying causes and initiating suitable measures
- Support with new projects, including technical presentations and participation in project meetings
- Accompanying customer visits and providing technical advice on site
- Participation in optimization measures to improve quality, costs and production processes in the area of casting
- Independent troubleshooting of systems in cooperation with the maintenance department or the manufacturer
- Carrying out fault analyses, defining and implementing sustainable solutions to improve processes
- Advice on the planning, acquisition and commissioning of new production systems
- Coordination and communication between production, project management and quality department
Candidate profile
- Completed engineering studies, preferably specializing in foundry technology, process engineering or mechanical engineering or equivalent knowledge and skills
- Alternatively, completed comparable vocational training with further training as a master craftsman or technician
- Extensive professional experience in production-related activities within the foundry industry, ideally in the field of aluminum casting
- In-depth knowledge of casting processes such as low-pressure casting and/or sand casting
- Practical experience in planning, designing and improving complex manufacturing systems and production processes
- Confident handling of process sequences in large-scale production as well as relevant specifications of the automotive supply industry, especially in the area of sampling and approval processes
- Initial experience in the management and control of projects
- Knowledge of X-ray technology is an advantage
- Familiar with common quality management methods and tools
- Routine in dealing with MS Office and industry-specific IT systems
- Very good knowledge of German and good knowledge of English
